Abstract
Dermoid cysts are unusual neoplasms that are often diagnosed during childhood. They are derived from both ectoderm
and mesoderm. Keratinizing squamous epithelium is present together with dermal derivatives such as hair
follicles, smooth muscle, sweat and sebaceous glands, and fibroadipose tissue. Dermoid cysts of head and neck
area are very rare, especially in postauricular area. Recently we experienced a case of postauricular dermoid cyst,
therefore we report a case along with review of literature.
